MEET YOUR GUEST INSTRUCTORS:

Nate Salva-Cruz

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and now calling sunny San Diego home, I’ve been a Martial Artist, Competitor and a trainer for nearly 20 years now. I own a studio in Chula Vista where I get to share a little taste of my journey. Started out as an instructor through my years of competition in combat sports. Exercise and fitness have always been less about the atheistic and more about health and overall performance. My goal is to share my experience, knowledge and passion to those looking to improve their physical and mental well-being; through practices influenced by competition.

Azimah Azmi

Azimah is an embodied movement guide, originally from Singapore and currently based out of San Diego. Growing up in a fitness-centric family, she’s always had a passion for serving others by empowerment through training, which she calls movement-me-time. She spends most of the time teaching and training jiujitsu, and guiding people to liberate themselves from pain. She has put together the mechanisms and tools that had helped her over the past 15 years in battling depression, disordered eating, chronic anxiety, OCD, addiction, and sexual trauma, through a movement practice that honors her authentic being. She believes that a consistent practice diving IN to softness creates a body temple that is thriving and free from various manifestations of pain in the body. Pain are messengers whom we can learn from and transform. Through her movement medicine offerings, her mission is to guide people back home to themselves, and their authentic Truth through curiosity and play.

Corey Renbarger

I’m a guy who grew up in a small town with big dreams and found a passion for all things health and wellness. Once I realized that I could change my entire physiology through just my breath, I felt the need to share that beautiful message with everyone I come across. Whether it’s during stressful times, learning to breathe properly while training, or helping to stay calm during plant ceremonies; breath and breath-work has been HUGE for my growth and evolution as a human. Knowing how adaptable we are as humans and the fact that our lungs and brain are both plastic, that to me is just fascinating! I have a hunger for learning and growing and I never want to stop, and because of that I love learning more about and teaching the power of breath to others.

In my free time I love to spend time with my dog, I enjoy reading with a nice cup of coffee, can’t forget going to the beach and just relaxing, and I also love to do fun activities like rock climbing, cycling around the city, or just adventuring on hikes with good company. I truly love to be able to provide a service for my students and community, whether its through personal training, group training, or breath work; I love to help others and I’ve made it my life passion and goal to help change the perspective on what true health and wellness is and to show that its really not as difficult as we make it seem.

Andrés Santos Sandoval

I spent much of my childhood engaging in outdoor play and found basketball in adolescence. After college basketball came to an end, I struggled to find purpose in the professional world. As life felt increasingly out of balance, exercise became a refuge for me. Once I recognized that training was something I was passionate about, I decided to pursue personal training as a profession.

It didn’t take long to recognize that due to the modern lifestyle, most people are terribly disconnected from their physical bodies and reconnecting with themselves through movement can help them cultivate an energetic balance as it did for me.

Fast forward 10 years and now I help people integrate movement into their lives with systems like Animal Flow, Functional Range Conditioning and Strength and Conditioning.

Movement provides an arena for self mastery, discipline and exploration so take some time out of your day and move!
